Release Springs, also known as weapon springs, are used in both manual and fully automatic firearms. These springs compress under pressure. When the pressure decreases, they return to their original state and extend. Thanks to these springs, the ammunition in the magazine mechanism is typically reloaded into the barrel.

The number of coils and the hardness level should be manufactured to indicate the resistance calculated against the pressure created by the ammunition to be fired. Therefore, even though the diameter measurements of each weapon spring may be the same, they are not used in different firearms.
